Packaging Inks Europe - Solvent-based inks

The Solvent Based Ink Product Systems - Technology with Maximum Flexibility for Tomorrow’s Packaging Industry

After the mergers of Flint Ink (Manders 1773), ANI (Adolin 1777), BASF Printing Systems (K+E 1865) and Gebr. Schmidt (1878) that resulted in the formation of the Flint Group, a European project was initiated in order to identify the Best of 4 solutions for all standard application areas bringing the best formulations to all customers. The project has now been completed, resulting in Flint Group’s new European Standard Portfolio of solvent based inks for packaging applications.

The consolidation of the product portfolios from each of the merging companies has lead to the comparison and unification of a lot of technology and knowledge. The ink products behind the historic trade names from these well respected companies have been compared in such detail as never possible before, leading to the development of a single informative ink naming concept.

The Solvent Based Premium Ink Ranges For Full Formulation Flexibility.

  • PluriRange - NC-based gravure systems
  • FlexiRange - NC-based flexographic systems
  • MultiRange - PVB-based systems
  • ElioRange - PVC-based systems
  • ProRange - CAP-based systems
  • Sentry®Range - Tobacco packaging inks

Each ink series is optimised for each and every relevant application and can be formulated to fulfil technical and product resistance demands.

The “Best of 4” Champion Product Portfolio was launched into the European market during November 2007. The new names for the “Best of 4” Champion Products will be gradually introduced when the current brand names on the labels will be changed to the respective range names shown above (while keeping the existing Ink Product Numbers).
